According to Fortune magazine, agriculture technology is a “hot
space for venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.” There are currently
over 1,000 agriculture startups on AngelList, with over 1,400 angel investors
interested in agriculture. And AgFunder says that a record $2 BILLION
dollars were invested into 228 ag-related businesses in the first half of
2015! What’s going on?
Our expert panel will share their insights on how emerging trends
in agriculture technology are creating opportunities for ventures and
investors. Come hear from:
- Doug Cameron, Co-founder and Managing Director, First Green Partners (venture capital)
- Pat Christie, CEO, Conservis (farm management software)
- Tom Hutton, Venture Development Executive, UMN Office for Technology Commercialization
- BJ Haun, Director of Product Development, Calyxt (agbiotech crop development)
